This Country!

What a joke!

We can't cope with the snow - everything shuts down.

We can't cope with the heat - water shortages and the train rails overheat.

We can't cope with the rain - everywhere floods.

They also run trains in the morning so commuters can get into work and then suspend the trains after a couple of hours so they are stranded at work. Hubby is trying to find his way back now - somehow! Why didn't they just suspend them this morning!

Just to see my children outside, making snowmen, having snowball fights, the laughter and enjoyment. In this instance, it's been well worth it.

It's the dreaded ice and sludge that's yet to come, that'll be the problem

Was thinking just that this morning as listening to local radio.

There were so many reports of southeners shunting each other around the streets because they don't know how to drive in the snow.

Decided at about 6am that there was no way DD1 was going to school so have had a garden full of children (not all mine) for a couple of hours. The lawn is now a muddy icy mess with a fantastic snowman in the middle but it is worth it for the wholesome rosy cheekedness of it all.

It's melting already.

Not worth it for my pregnant friend who has gone into labour but there are not enough midwives in the hospitals today and the roads haven't been gritted so its too dangerous for them to drive!
