Part of a set of six workbooks the series cements a broad and solid foundation in Mathematics in bite-size pieces beyond the 11 plus secondary school selection examinations. A very useful addition to the Eleven Plus candidate’s arsenal.

Book 3 teaches percentages, ratio and proportion, and probability.

REVIEW

Maths for SATS, 11 plus and Common Entrance is written for children who are sitting SATS Key Stage 2: levels 3-5, Key Stage 3: levels 3-6, 11 plus, Common Entrance and scholarship examinations.

The set of six workbooks written by Stephen Curran follows the teaching methods used by AE Tuition courses. A comprehensive teaching and learning method explains each topic fully with worked examples and exercises to measure progress and understanding. Answers for each exercise are provided at the back of each workbook together with progress charts and a Certificate of Achievement.

The books are arranged in a topic format and in a progressive order. Each piece of knowledge builds into a complete whole by the end of the series. This is a more traditional approach but all the areas relevant to the National Curriculum are covered up to Level 6.

All the books use a unique coding system. Sections are organised relating to Mathematical Technique, Mathematical Information and Mathematical Exercises.
