I am an established and successful tutor and I cater for the 11 plus exams and common entrance exams, as well as SATS preparation. I also teach Maths and Science up to A Level.

Mr. F Eleven Plus Tuition Group 11+ preparation courses

My Tuition Centre is based in Dewsbury in Kirklees but I am available to do home visits as well.

For entry in 2012 Heckmondwike Grammar School`s Entrance Exam will take place on Saturday 1st October 2011. This year the School has decided to not run a ‘Mock’ exam. Usually around 700 children sit the actual entrance exam for the 120 places that are available. For the first time the School have also decided to include Non Verbal Reasoning in the Entrance examination.

To give your child the best chance to succeed we would recommend that the start preparation at the beginning of Year 5.

Homework is an integral part of my teaching strategy. All Tutees are expected to subscribe to a Web based Eleven Plus Question Bank Platform in order to facilitate reinforcement of learning. The cost of this subscription is £200 on top of course and book fees for children and this single user licence will run until the date of the relevant Entrance exam.

Parents who are not having their children tutored by me can subscribe for access to the database for £500 per child. The database will also form part of the homework exercises and practice in the build-up to the exams.

Tutees are expected to bring a Laptop PC with them to each lesson.

At Mr F Tuition I provide 11+ courses where exam and revision techniques are taught, in addition to important time management skills. Pupils from all backgrounds and abilities are catered for.

To give your child the best chance for success, they ideally need to start with me when they are in year 5, and you will need to enrol your child for the duration of the course. This will ensure a solid foundation from which to begin practicing for verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
Please inform me if your child is sitting for more than one Grammar school so that I can tailor their work accordingly.

Dates for 11+ preparation

Our hours of business are Monday to Friday 5.30pm to 9.00pm and Saturdays from 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Intensive courses are run during school holidays and it is strongly suggested that your child attends these.

Mr. F Eleven Plus Tuition 2011 Intensive 11 Plus Preparation Courses

Limited spaces are still available on the following intensive 11+ courses:

Each week long course will include strategies for tackling all 46 Question types encompassing Verbal Reasoning, Mathematics and Non Verbal Reasoning.

These mock exams are suitable for children sitting for Grammar and Independent schools in Kirklees, Wakefield, Calderdale and Leeds.

Mock Exam dates and structure:

Every Saturday starting 23rd July to 24th September 2011. Registration at 9:45 Exam times 10:00 to 14:00

My pass rates have been been consistent and impressive.

Charges:

The charges for 11+ preparation are £25.00 per hour for the regular sessions.

There are a limited number of books which I will supply and which you will be charged for and there will be one off charge for the license of our internet based homework and practice platform.

All tutorials are interactive and there are very few worksheets used.
