Leaders Are Readers

Winner of the LSBC ‘Supplementary School of the Year Award’ 2007, Leaders are Readers is holding its summer school for the third year running. Established over 10 years by Janet Sherlock, a previously practising solicitor and now an educator, Leaders are Readers specialises in accelerated learning for ages 3½ to 13. Subjects include maths, English, verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning and reading.

11+ Summer School Programme:

• 11+ resources specially written or selected to secure accelerated learning
• 11+ maths taught up to rigorous Year 9 standard
• 11+ structured vocabulary programme to improve performance in English and verbal reasoning tests
• 11+ verbal and verbal reasoning 2 hours daily tuition and practise guaranteed to boost scores
• Time: 9am – 3.15pm, Monday to Friday

Other Summer School Programmes:

• 7+ Programme: Accelerated 7+ tuition including English, specially written maths programme and general knowledge
• Years 1 to 5: Maths and English including focus on creative writing skills, fractions, percentages and most challenging maths topics
• Reading Programme: Specialist course including free resources, for ages 3 ½ -13
• 1-1 tuition: For those with special needs, e.g., speech delay, dyspraxia, severe dyslexia
• Accelerated learning technique: included in all programmes – cover a term’s work in 3 weeks
• Time: 9.00am – 1.00pm, Monday to Friday

Saturday School:

• 11+ Programme, 7+ Programme, Maths and English for Years 1 – 5, Reading Programme for ages 3 ½ – 13.
• Free membership of fun, online maths revision programme available to Saturday school maths students 24/7.
• Time: 9.00am – 1.30pm; 9.00am – 11am; 11.30 – 1.30pm, Saturdays only

Teaching by experienced tutors, all CRB checked.
