Introduction to Redbridge Tuition Group

We are an established and successful tutoring group and we cater for 11+ exams, common entrance exams, as well as SATS preparation, and Maths, English and Science to boost your child’s confidence in school by providing extra support and compliment to school work.

From our original centre in Redbridge in Essex we have expanded both geographically, with new centres serving Bexley and Kent, as well as the breadth of courses offered, we now cater for senior Independent Schools and SATs.

Redbridge Tuition Group 11+ preparation courses

At RTG, we provide 11+ courses where exam and revision techniques are taught, as well as important time management skills. Pupils from all backgrounds and abilities are catered for.

To give your child the best chance for success, they need to start with us when they are `in year 5, and you will need to enrol your child for the duration of the course. This will ensure a solid foundation from which to begin practicing for verbal and non-verbal reasoning.

Please inform us if your child is sitting for more than one grammar school so that we can tailor their work accordingly.

Homework will be set every week and it is essential that this is done as directed in order to ensure your child retains newly taught skills and increased self-confidence.

New RTG 11 Plus Centres for 2011

RTG has established new 11 plus centres for the preparation of the eleven plus exams in Bexley and Kent. These will be held at Beths Grammar School. We will be shortly announcing additional new centres.

Dates for 11+ preparation

Our hours of business are Monday to Thursday 4.30pm to 6.30pm and Saturdays from 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Initially students will attend 9.30 to 11.30 every Saturday morning.

There after, the times will be allocated according the child’s speed, accuracy and ability. We will however try to accommodate your time preference wherever possible.

Intensive courses are run during school holidays and it is imperative that your child attends these.

Redbridge Tuition 2011 Intensive 11 Plus Preparation Courses

Limited spaces are still available on the following courses:

• Week beginning February 21st (half term)
• Week beginning April 18th (Spring break)
• Week beginning May 30th (half term)
• Week beginning July 25th (start of Summer break)
• Week beginning August 15th (Summer break)
• Week beginning October 24th (half term)

Course times – 9.15 a.m. to 12.45 p.m.

Redbridge Tuition 11 Plus and Independent Schools Mock Exams

These mock exams are suitable for children sitting for Grammar and Independent schools in Redbridge, Essex, Barnet, Bexley and North London Consortium.

Mock Exam dates and structure:

Every Sunday starting 10 Oct to 14 Nov 2010 (including half term). Registration at 10:45 Exam times 11:00 to 13:30

We will announce the 2011 Eleven-Plus Mock Exams series for Grammar and Independent schools shortly.

Pass Rates:

Our pass rates have been been consistent and impressive -

• 100% for overseas Independent schools
• 90% for UK Independent & Grammar Schools

Charges:

The charges for 11+ preparation are £30.00 per hour for the regular sessions.

There will be concessions offered for the intensive courses. These will be advised nearer the time of each course.

There are a limited number of books which we will supply and which you will be charged for and there will be one off charge for the license of our internet based homework and practice platform.

Charges for all other tuition are £15.00 per hour. All tutors will work with a very limited number of pupils to ensure each child is given attention. All tutorials are interactive and there are very few worksheets used.

SATS Booster Course – commencing Saturday 5th February 2011

The course will be running for 14 weeks from 9.30 to 11.30 and will cover Maths and English and will be geared specifically to the SATS exams. We will look at all the styles of SATS questions that the children are likely to get in the exam in May and the aim is of this course is to push up each child’s level as much as possible to ensure they have a good start to their secondary education.
