11 Plus Intensive Courses

A good proportion of the children every year are home tutored either by choice or as a consequence of being unable to find a suitable tutor in their area. Home preparation can be equally good however often some topics or subjects surface where external tuition may be beneficial.

There are a number of tutors who ordinarily may not be available to take on additional students onto their longer term courses but do run short intensive courses usually during school holidays (e.g. Easter and Summer).

For the child preparing from home this presents an opportunity to be taught material they may have found difficult directly from experienced tutors; furthermore they can revise the syllabus and even socialise with peers. From the parent’s perspective they can get a professional assessment of their child’s progress and identification of relative areas of weakness compared to peers.

The following 11 plus tuition centres have indicated they are holding short intensive 11 plus courses for grammar and senior independent (private) schools open to the public.
