Re: Henrietta Barnett - years 8 and 9

agree with scary mum, possible that the occasional place may come up but there could be a great many girls going after it - possible that others who are in your position will be doing exactly the same. Did she take the exam first time round - just wondering whether that gave you any idea how she got...

Re: Out of cohort

Hello there! Has anyone had experience of children starting school at CSA and sitting for the 11+ exams when they are in year 6 of the adopted cohort? does this mean that the child will be older than the rest if the cohort? sounds like some work to be done to get application approved but useful to ...

Re: DAO ALLOCATIONS MARCH 2024

You would not be able to be on the waiting list for DAO if you had been offered a higher ranking school. You would have to turn down the offer from a higher ranking school in order to go on the waiting list for a lower ranked school. DG possible it varied by area but in some areas people can make a...

Re: Colyton Grammar School's raw score to secure an 'A'

Hi, thank you. Yes, that is what I was referring to. But i did not understand where the numbers 102, 104 etc came from / are based on. On the basis that there are about 80 questions overall spread across each paper, therefore 160 questions in total. I thought that maybe the 102, 104 etc was a mark ...

Re: Colyton Grammar School's raw score to secure an 'A'

My family are currently suffering this 11+ **** and wondering whether we have done the right thing in pushing my son down this route. My son is taking various mock exams, but getting back very variable results from one test to the next. One day he is the next Einstein. The next month I am looking u...

Re: Waiting List- Wycombe High School

Asking this after 2 years as I am in same situation as yours. Moving to maidenhead this July and my DD will sit for 11plus exams this sept. Our old property will not be disposed before end of this year. The place we are moving in is 6.5 miles away from WHS catchment. Did your DD get a place offered...

Re: Help! Moving in Pinkneys green, maidenhead - need school admissions information/ details

It's a long document.. too much of information but looks like could be tricky and just try our luck. That's all we can do. It is pretty crucial that you DO sit down and read it - too many parents don't and then run into problems as they make assumptions about how places are allocated or end up appl...

Re: LEH OR TIFFIN GIRLS

I wonder if it is worth asking if she can spend the day / half day there to see how she likes it? I hope that the school would agree to this - very difficult to make a decision like this otherwise
