Re: GLOUCESTERSHIRE ALLOCATIONS 2024

We are nervous and curious at the same time. We are based in Hampshire so not really sure how we will be notified, called both Crypt and Marling earlier today to get some clarity whether we will be notified via email or post on 1st March. Crypt confirmed it will be via letter but really depends on ...

Re: What happens on 1st March?

It will still depend on what your local authority's procedures are, as that is who you applied through, so check in their website for details. I think for London it's a London-wide system, but I'm not sure.

Re: What happens on 1st March?

I see you have posted in several areas, presumably you have applied to schools in all of those areas? What is important is where you live. Which council did you apply through? The procedure will vary slightly from area to area, however, your offer letter should contain details. It will almost certai...

Re: ALLOCATIONS TIFFIN GIRLS 2024

Does staying on the waitlist for our first preference school mean that we have to reject the school assigned? Just preparing for the big day and making mental plans Any insights will be appreciated. Re: How do waiting lists work?

Yes, you accept what you are allocated. If you turn it down the local authority is under no obligation to find you another place, they have gone their job. In most areas you are automatically put in the waiting list for higher preference schools, but do check (it should say in your allocation letter).

Re: Unsuccessful Selection Review STTS: 120.25 in Bucks.

It's very odd that some with scores of 113 etc get through a SR and others like this one fail with 120.25. That panels can be that different in their interpretations would be of major concern to me. Or perhaps some parents are more capable than others. Or the evidence & extenuating circumstance...
