Suggested reading for my DD
Hi
My DD needs to move onto more advanced reading. In the past has really enjoyed Jeremy Strong, Jacqueline Wilson, Clarice Bean and Road Dahl.
I have tried her with Michael Morpurgo, she liked The Butterfly Lion but she can't really get into his other books, she says that she doesn't like his style. I have also tried her with Harry Potter, she also found this uninteresting. She needs to read more often and more advanced materials now but I am struggling with which authors to try.
Can anyone suggested a move on from these authors both in terms of book that she can read herself and books that I can read to her.
Thanks
Sam

I'm with her on Michael Morpurgo - just can't get into his books.
Philip Pullman, Lemony Snickett, Caroline Lawrence (Roman Mystery books)...
I've just remembered - have a look at the thread 'Member Suggestions for Reading Material' just above your thread.
