Written comprehensions, not mc
Anyone know of any written comprehensions which involve a challenging passage to read (level 6 perhaps) and good questions requiring written answers - again like the level 6 primary reading paper perhaps.
I have seen those "brilliant reading activities" books for level 6 reading comprehension but many of the extension questions are a bit irritating and of the "invent what could have happened next" variety. That is good for a writing exercise but I am wanting level 6 type questions that are about analysing carefully what the author wrote rather than a flight of fancy writing exercise.
