Best Comprehension Workbooks?

My DD's weakest area is comprehension. I'd love a book which has the standard piece of text (poem, recipe, extract, etc) with questions but that also came with a parents guide to explain what the student needs to look for, inference, deduction, reference, etc.

What are the best Comprehension books out there?

Many thanks!

We used this one:

But never got round to doing the following Book 4...

I think we also tried some of the Bond comprehension books, but the kids thought they were easier than the S&S ones. Are these the kinds of things you're looking for?

Are you looking for standard or multi-choice comprehension?

For standard practice, the Schofield and Sims KS2 books are excellent.

Scholastic also publish comprehension teaching books which, as you've asked for, break down practice into types of comprehension questions. However these are teacher books not workbooks and are typically around £35 per book.
