Letter writing for the English paper

I wonder if anyone could let me know how formal letter writing must be for the 11+ exam. Will my daughter need to know how to use yours sincerely or your faithfully?

By upper KS2 I would expect a child to use them correctly.

My DS learnt informal and formal letter writing (including faithfully/sincerely) in Yr 5 so had the knowledge there for the 11+.

However (and this is just from an 11 year old's memory!) he doesn't believe it was needed for the 11+. I am sure someone more knowledgeable will correct me if his memory is wrong
