shuffled sentences

My DD is struggling with shuffled sentences - time wise!
Any tips on how to improve so she can do it in time?

Rather than getting her to write out the whole sentence, get her to look for clues as to the extra word. I was recently doing shuffled sentences with a child, there was a sentence about rainbows and there was the word pink....we could immediately see that this was the extra word.

Presumably the sentence was something like, 'One colour not seen in rainbows is ...'?
