Hello, just to back up what Ladymuch says.

We are using Galore Park English Revision Guide. I prefer this to the Bond Comprehension Guide, as it's easy to break into smaller sections and go through.

We did prep for the Grammars as well, but don't have a massive head start when it comes to difficult comprehension so don't panic! Just go through each bit by section and then practice it the Galore Park Practice Papers.

Lucky you to have such a nice English teacher! My DS is also a straight A's student at school but the grammar exams were a real wake up as to the competition and tbh I'm just ignoring his school reports now, as I know the external competiton is tough!

The schools do place importance on school reports as well btw ;)

She is not a nice English teacher, she is a misguided English teacher and is doing a great deal of damage. Telling your ds and you that he is wonderful when he is missing out words in his work is not helping you prepare him for 11 plus exams.

If he is not able to follow instructions and write in proper sentences he will not get a good mark in an English exam. The name on the paper will mean nothing to them so they will just judge and mark what is in front of them. DG

The book I have had 25 comprehensions, but these have fewer.
