Year 5 English Preparation
Dear All
Need some advice on how to plan for year 5 English Preparation. My Dd enjoys reading, has a good flow in writing and has a tutor as well. As a mum I want her to practice daily. What I am struggling with is which papers or books should I focus for her. She will start her year 5 in September.
Which is a better option_bond, schofields n SIMS, Cgp...? Starting with test papers now will be a better idea? We are aiming at Colchester Grammar School.
Thanks in advance

Re: Year 5 English Preparation
Hello rbahl,
Im a big fan of Bond papers, the ten min tests are doable and not too taxing on a child. I ripped out the answers and put them in a folder.
My boys did the Bucks grammar so I don't have any knowledge of the Colchester test but get your child to read A LOT. Good quality children literature that all expand their vocab, Just William is a good example.
