Learning new vocabulary - programmes/ software
Is there a computer-based programme to learn new words?
I try to read and pick up new words as well. But as I am working full time it is not always reliable pattern, so trying to find an additional way of leaning new words.

Encourage your child to read some of the classic books - and in any book they read, underline any word they are not familiar with - then look these up in a dictionary afterwards.
Vocab is something learned/acquired from birth so it is not easy to cram learn - it is an ongoing process, which is why it is seen as a good test of innate intelligece. Looking at unfamiliar words helps introduce the concept of root words to a child - where a word with the same beginning may mean a similar thing eg REduce REmove REplace....all kind of mean change, usually by making smaller (bad example but it is early!)
