My DD got 107.93 and we are P2

Would welcome any inputs if there is a chance for my DD to get Kendrick

Thanks
Given the previous couple of years, I’m sorry to say that it would be unlikely. However if you have space on the CAF then put it down. Hopefully you have good alternatives to consider.
Hi Tinkers, what do you think the chances for 116.75? I could not find the cut off score for P2 last year, on the year before it was 114?

I’ve not seen any definite info for the lowest P2 score. If you look at last years allocations there’s a poster (Johnnie? I think) those score will give you a clue. I’ll check later.

I suspects borderline for you, but put it on the CAF unless you want to use your slots for other school you prefer and are more likely to get. Putting kendrick first on the CAF won’t affect whether you get places elsewhere if you don’t get kendrick

Almost the same boat here, with 116.79, have to biting my nails for another 6 months, without any clue...

Hi, Based on the following, there are more chances. Please feel free to comment

This year(entry 2022) exam had mixed response( few said its easy & other slightly difficult). The prev year(entry 2021), the general consensus was , it's a easy paper. This is reflected in the FAQ ( This year, 374 got qualifying score and 440 last year, so a decrease of 66). This should give some leverage to P2 kids. Last year, I think it was 117.6X

Whether the exam was easy or hard really won’t make a difference as the score is standardised to remove this impact.

It’s other factors that will make a difference.

Hi Tinkers, has Kendrick school formally confirmed that only 12 pp/sp/lac children are qualified this year? Thanks.
If that's the case, does it mean there're only 84 places (= 96 - 12) for P1 & P2 children to compete (last 32 places are for P1 only)?
I think #84 in the 2020 exam (P1 & P2, Excl. non-catchment) scored around 117.07, but hope it will be easier this year.
The guesswork for our P2 parents is really frustrating.

I read it as 12 pp/sp/lac qualified, so a maximum of 84 places available for p1&p2 on the ranked list. I think there were 17 qualified last year, so that does give some extra spaces.

The other thing to consider is that there may be children within that category who don’t apply for the place. My DD will be one of the 12, as she’s SP. She thinks she will take the place but isn’t 100%. Also, if she’d have only scraped a pass, I don’t think we’d consider it, as she wouldn’t want to feel behind from the start.

I hope this is not a life threatening emergency where someone has not responded to your question in 14 minutes on a Saturday night.
