Obviously he must have made quite a few mistakes and it wasn't that 'easy' because his NVR brought his scores down!! It just shows you never can tell.
that's helpful info. what was your DS's or your expecation after the exam? was it too different from what he got? that can offer some inputs to establish on the general trend on the score and this will be helpful to suggest others in this topic if 120 is good or 111 is bad.

Just got the result. Sitting at office can be nerve-wrecking, after few hours of hesitation finally called up hubby to find out the result. DS got through he got 118 in VR (was expecting much higher as it was very simple ..) and 121 in NVR (which was also very easy). STD score: 120

DS found VR easy  and NVR ok (didn't finish one section of it).

Good luck to all those waiting.

Wow, Thought the postman had forgotten about us-anyway the letter arrived, 125, so i'm very happy about that, wasn't expecting it as dc seems to get a bit lower on nvr, but vr helps even things out. Just out of curiosity, is the VR harder in Berks(128) than Bucks(140), or just depends on the day and performance.
Good luck to everyelse still waiting

We just got the results as well :) My DS got 128 in the NVR and 139 in the VR, resulting in an average score of 134. We are soooooo pleased and proud :P Good luck to everyone.

Chad any word of consolation from you.
112 is a solid score.

from feedback on this forum.....
First round offers in 2007 were

LG 120
HG 114
SG 113

First round offers in 2008 were

LG 120
HG 114
SG 113

First round offers in 2009 were

Langley 117
Herschel 115

As you can see Langley's first round offers dropped dramatically last year. This could be because of the change to the exam format (no maths paper) giving a lower average score.
I haven't seen any feedback as to the final allocation cutoff for 2009 but previous years were..

2004 entry........115
2005 entry........116 & some 115
2006 entry........116
2007 entry........116 & some 115
2008 entry........116 (not all...... June08)

with a drop of 3 points in the first round allocation then I would expect there to be a similar drop in final allocation for 2009.... possibly giving 112/113.....I just haven't got the figures.

I am not sure whether anyone has ever submitted an appeal when receiving a lower score than expected... will have a hunt thru.
