which grammar school at Slough-your valuable advice needed

My daughter would be appearing for the 11+ exams in 2007. She is good at Maths, science and finds real interest in these. We are from Reading, so Kendrick Girls would be our first option. We want to apply for two grammar schools at Slough as well as our next preferences. Could anybody advise which Grammar schools at Slough (out of the four) are more maths and science oriented? We would definitely visit the schools but your valuable information and advices would be of real help. Many thanks,

Hi mum,

My son goes to Slough Grammar, so I know it better than the others. It is a language college but it has recently obtained the additional specialism of science that requires good standards in maths as well.

Herschel is a technology college which means that it is also strong in maths and sciences. Langley is a Maths and Computing specialist.

Unfortunately, there has been little (I should say none) feedback from parents with first hand information about Langley or Herschel on the forum so far. Hope you get lucky...

Thanks a lot. Your information helped me a lot..........thats exactly what I needed. Obviously first hand feedback from any Langley or Herschel parent would be helpful as well.............anyway thanks again..........the link is very informative........
