DC has been offerred a place at a school that was not on CAF. Today we received a letter from that school confirming that a place has been offered and we have 14 days to accept or decline. What do we do as we do not want to send DC to that school.

We are appealing to a couple of schools on the CAF, but if we decline this offer and are unsuccessful on the other two appeals then does that mean we will not have a school come sept?

Accepting an offer of a school does not mean that your appeals will not go ahead. It is a fall back school should your appeal fail. If you refusethe offer then , yes, it could be that your child will not have a place in September and will have to go to a school with spaces available at the start of term, which could be some distance away. If you are absolutely sure that you would never send your child to the school offered then you need to have a back up plan for September should your appeals be refused.
