Could anyone enlighten me as to the difficulty of NFER test papers please? DS trying for Reading this Nov - been doing well with Bond and others but scores on these papers not been great at all. I could put it down to a blip, he had a good break over hols so maybe brain needs kick starting but slightly worrying. Are these papers particularly difficult? Having compared them to Bond, they do look challenging but any comments appreciated. Has anyone else had similar experiences with these papers? Thanks.

I've no idea really - we've been doing other stuff and I don't think DS has done any NFER ones yet.

NFER (they're GL now, aren't they?) were providing papers for various schools, so when DD1 did the Kendrick test, they were supposed to be the closest to what the girls would sit, but as Reading do their own tests, who knows what the comparisons are like!

I do remember that one of the 11A tests was notoriously difficult, but can't remember whether it was VR or NVR.
