Reading tests - where does working out go

Can anyone tell me where they do their working out for the Reading tests, on the question sheet or do they get a separate sheet of paper for it?

They will provide scrap paper for working out. As It's multiple choice, they won't be allowed to write on the answer sheet.

Thanks Bewildered, do you think they would be penalised for writing on the actual question paper or would this be acceptable?

The instructions they give boys are to write any workings out on the scrap paper.
I'm afraid I really don't know what would be the result if they were caught writing on the question paper.
It could be a gentle reminder not to, or a more severe consequence for not following instructions. Personally
I would think it's too important to find that not following instructions would risk incurring a severe consequence.
