Tinkers, will pm you if dd3 comes up with anything useful that's not there! You've got my post about timings if you want to add any of that.

Sorry about being careless earlier, somewhat stupefied this afternoon after a very large lunch.

It's cool 8)

I'm sure the late testers do sit the same paper but they'll only get a place if the 96 places are not filled by the Oct 1st candidates (which is very very unlikely!)

So total will be around 687 within catchment. Does that mean the cut off will be around 116? How much does it roughly translate to the raw score percentage?

You are assuming this...factor in those too that are willing to move!

I'm predicting 115 cutoff this time :) not sure how you work it out!

Thanks sonasona,

Was 93% with the age bonus or without?

Standardised against those of the same age. It's not an age bonus.
December birthday 90% average was 113.

You'd have to ready to get moving as soon as you got the results in order to have an address by end if January, wouldn't you? Every year people pop up, but I'm not sure that a significant number have ever moved.

Most welcome :)

Don't know about age factor....119 was av standardised score and 93% was the avarage raw score.

Make sure you guys get to see the exam papers after the results if they offer. However a friendly piece of advice, if it does not go as expected please do move on, your Dds did their best and thats what matters :)

Aliportico, once again thanks for the insight. Will be invaluable to those
Sitting next year's Kendrick, and those parents anxiously awaiting the 23rd. :)

Glad to hear your Dd was happy about her test.

If we know a girl's score in the entrance exam, a bit of maths lets us work out what percentage of candidates did better or worse than her in the exam; and if we also know how many candidates took the exam, we can work out approximately how many girls did as well or better.

I've put a tool here that does this: http://kendrickcalculator.weebly.com/

Hope it's helpful.

My DD thinks she had 4 sections in NV.

(This is what she remembers, but obviously it could be wrong!)
