Kendrick Open eve

Post by paula »

Any one out there off to Kendrick this eve? Both DDs and I are off in a mo and then we have to hurtle to Wokingham for the Holt open eve. Could this not have been planned better?

Would be interested to hear what others think and their impressions of Kendrick :D

Hi Paula,

Yes, my DP and I went to the Kendrick open evening earlier. As expected, it was pretty heaving!!

I have to admit, I was very impressed. A delightful Y7 girl showed us round and she did a great job of selling the school to us. I had almost hoped to NOT like the school, but I loved the whole feel of the place.

DP had already taken DD to the Kendrick Open Eve last year, and they then visited our local comp, Maiden Erlegh, and really liked that as well. We didn't go to the Holt Open Eve, as we are too far out of catchment, but I hear it's also a great school.

See you on the 16th Nov I guess!

Have to say that I was impressed by facilities etc. at Kendrick and the girls too but there was something about it I could not warm to. I found many of the staff to be very off hand and unwelcoming -a complete contrast to Holt an hour later!
DD still totally fixed on going so yes I will be delivering her there on 16th

We were there too - couldn't quite believe how packed it was! Daughter liked it, so that's the main thing, will be there on the 16th too.
