Hi All,

First of all congratulations to all of you who got the offers from Kendrick. And good luck to others in getting into other schools.

We accepted the offer of Kendrick for our DD and now started to think about the commute and other things we need to work on as we live in Basingstoke area. Our family friend's DD too made it to Kendrick and we both thought it would be worth posting on this forum to see if there might be others from the Basingstoke area either from the new intake or with children already in other years of Kendrick. What we intend to do is to meet up face to face at some place (TBD) around Basingstoke in the next 2-3 weeks on a weekend for mutual introductions and to share any ideas or thoughts that might be of help or relevance to others.

If you are from the area and interested in joining this meet up, please PM me and we can take the discussion forward offline. You are more than welcome to join even if you are not from the area.

Best Wishes and may all your dreams come true as our children get into the next phase of their learning and lives.

I'll just add that when you get all the info through for the transition day and the new parents evening, there should be a KPS form to fill in. This will be for a contacts list of other girls in the class (and others in the year if parents want to share their info with other classes).

Certainly previous years have organised a get together over the summer too.

Hopefully you will found someone close by from that even if you don't from this forum.

There certainly are others from the area further up the school. My DD's best friend comes from Little London (train from Bramley around 7:15 I think) - yr 8
