Anyone else hear this on the local radio yesterday?

SLOUGH SCHOOLCHILDREN CHEATING?
School children in Slough have been accused of cheating in their 11 plus exams. An anonymous letter was posted to Slough Borough Council claiming that the exam papers for Hershel Grammar school were leaked. The allegations have been denied by AE Tuition who are in charge of the papers. They've said it's impossible the papers could have got out.

No idea. Just repeating what I heard on the radio and cut and pasted what is on Time 106.6's website. I was suprised that it hadn't already been mentioned on this forum.

CHEATING

I can only say that after spending a year with every saturday morning at AE Tuition with Steve Curran he DOES NOT condone cheating in any shape or form, in fact anyone who had their child with him will know that he rants on about people who have cheated with exams and how bad it is.

A majority of the children tutored there are OOC and we all know about what happens on many forums including this one last year where PARENTS told other PARENTS some questions, the chances of them actually getting the complete correct question is extremely limited, my son has a great memory but after 3 papers he could only remember little bits and quite frankly the poor child had had enough by that time and just wanted to chill.

What idiot would believe that AE Tuition are in charge of the papers, if they were, do you not think his pass rate would be 100% and why go through all that tuition when you have the answers.

Some people will believe anything that is aired or written down, I think a certain Slough radio station want to get their facts straight!

Very annoyed THOM

I totally Agree with Tearing Hair Out Mum. As my Son was tutored there as well and he achieved 138 in Bucks Exams,

I too sent my children to S Curran and can confirm that he is 100% genuine and only has the best interest of the children at heart ie, NO CHEATING. His centre works the children real hard in preparation for the 11+ tests.

It would be nice to know exactly how AE are 'in charge' of the papers. Being in charge in any way would raise questions so..... Why can't Slough Grammar schools be in charge of their own 11 plus exams??? Surely they have enough experience by now.
