Chiltern Edge school - impact on Reading
I'm sure some of you will have heard about Chiltern Edge in the local press, and that it may possibly close.
If anyone has DCs there or due to start there in September, RBC have issu d the following advice.
http://www.reading.gov.uk/chilternedge" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Ofsted report here. (Thanks to G55 for pointing out I'd not actually posted the right link)
http://www.chilternedge.oxon.sch.uk/att ... l_2017.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If it does close then the knock on effect on the rest of RBC schools, especially Highdown (which is already oversubscribed) cannot be ignored. A significant number of Reading secondary school DCs are educated outside RBC. RBC even lay on a bus service for those travelling the CE from Caversham as that helps alleviate the pressure on Highdown.
