Re: Reading school results 2017 (2018 entry)
Q How many candidates sat the entrance test for Reading School for entry in September 2018?
A A total of 737 candidates sat the test at Reading School and a further total 238 candidates sat the test at another venue and
requested that their results be shared with Reading School.
Q What was the highest total standardised score achieved for entry to Reading School?
A The highest total standardised score achieved was 126.34
Q How many candidates who took the test achieved Reading School’s qualifying score or above?
A 317 candidates achieved the qualifying score or above.
Q How many day applicants who took the test achieved the qualifying score or above and were living in the designated
area as at 31st August 2017?
A 195 candidates who have applied for a day place achieved the qualifying score or above and were living within the designated
area as at 31st August 2017.
With 195 in designated area qualified and 138 places available; there is lots of reasons to be positive for people with 108.50 or above to get a place me thinks. Maybe i'm wrong.

Re: Reading school results 2017 (2018 entry)
Reading results are OUT this morning.
DS got 113.10. Very pleased
Hopefully will get a place at RBS as last year the lowest qualifying score that was accepted for a day place was 109.11.

Hello All
My son has scored 117.30 in Reading Boys and 235 in QE Barnet. Can I safely say that he will get places in both schools?
Very confused as to which should be our first choice on CAF. We live in Reading catchment.
Is it worth moving to Barnet or should we stick with Reading?
I cannot find University destinations for Reading School. Looking at Barnet University destinations they are very impressive.
Any advice/thoughts will really be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I’ve just replied on your other post. You’ll be fine for Reading. Did One School feel better when you visited? A colleague of mine had the same choice and picked Reading.maaress wrote:Hello All

Unless you were already hankering to live near Barnet, or you don't like Reading and have no strong ties here, then I can't imagine why you would even consider uprooting your family for a school place when the score looks pretty safe for Reading.maaress wrote:Hello All

Re: Reading school results 2017 (2018 entry)
Congratulations everyone and am glad it is over.
My DS has scored 110.97. I am thinking he is in the safe zone as far as admission is concerned- any thoughts on this? Is the lowest qualifying score likely to go up this year..
