We are turning down DS's offered day place as he/we have decided on Reading Blue Coat so there will be movement on the list.

Guessing it’s so quiet on this thread as neither the school nor the LA appear to be giving out any information until after the 15th. Does anyone know if this is the same as for previous years? Thanks.

Certainly kendrick haven’t often given info before the 15th. I’d Think Reading will do the same.

Edited for really bad typing. Phone and no reading specs

Hi,

Regarding Reading School, Any idea how many pupils were there in last year 2017 waiting list and how
far waiting list move up?

As i understand 109.11 was the last score offered in 2017 so wonder how many pupil from waiting list
got offered place.

Thanks
Dany

So far this is the only info I have. Unlike Kendrick, I’ve not seen WL info on the Reading school website (it might have been there and I haven’t managed to find it ).
Given the allocations cutoff for this year is very slightly lower than last year, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think that maybe the final cutoff will be similar too.
For 2018 entry (test 2017)
1) qualifying score is 108
2)138 day places
3) 737 sat at Reading, 238 sat elsewhere (975 in total)
4)317 qualified
5) 195 qualified and in catchment.
Cut off on allocations day, highest place on the waiting list for day places was 110.54. There was no one on the boarding places WL

For 2017 entry (test 2016)
1) qualifying score is 108 (lower than previous years and lower than kendrick)
2) 138 day places
3)697 sat at Reading, 184 elsewhere meaning a total of 881
4) 282 qualified
5) 198 qualified in designated area.
Cutoff on allocations day, highest place on the waiting list 110.69
final cuts off reported by Reading School day place 109.11, boarding place 108.08

On March 1st my son (110.50) was 2nd on the waiting list. According to the latest email he is now first on the waiting list. Interestingly though the latest letter says he is third, but we were told to ignore that as it’s out of date. Waiting game...
