She scored 108.93 in the Kendrick exam.
Any CAF strategy advice please?
If we put Kendrick as her first choice (at best borderline/waiting list with her score) and St Bernard’s second will we jeopardise a place at St Bs if she doesn’t get Kendrick?
No you won’t jeopardise her place. Put the schools in your genuine order of preference.
Re: SLOUGH SCHOOLS RESULTS 2018 (2019 entry)
No you won't, they operate an equal preferences system. You will be allocated the highest ranked school on your CAF that your child is eligible for. They don't know where you rank them.ThreeKiddoes wrote:DD2 scored 118 in the Slough exam.

119 here.
We are well within Herschel's 4 mile radius catchment area (which I gather is new this year), being 2.6 miles away in a straight line. However, we are most likely to put our slightly closer Bucks grammar as first choice on the CAF.
Good luck to everyone with getting the school you hope for.

DS got 125, so pleased for him!
But I haven't told him the score and neither do I plan to...until Christmas. There will be other DCs in his school who despite their hard work, fell short...the last thing I want him to do is to boast.

Isn't that a bit extreme, poor kid! He deserves and needs to know his result!trimission wrote:DS got 125, so pleased for him!

Surely you could ask him to be a bit sensitive with his good news?

Hi,
My DD got 111 and we live in west drayton. Do we stand a chance in any of slough grammar schools?
Thanks

DS has done very well as too, but I had to tell him the score otherwise he would have been super grumpy!
We have emphasised to him that he must be gracious and not boast or be triumphalist, he has very graciously accepted that
