What can I do if DC is only 1 mark away any advise please .
Thanks
Your only chance would be to appeal, but you can't appeal unless you have been turned down for your Grammar school of choice on March 1st (National Allocation Day)
I don't know anything about Slough Appeals as it seems there is little info available.
I have heard that it is very hard to succeed though!

Good luck

Do you know your straight line distance?
There is a chance for LGS (if you're priority area 2, which I think most of West Drayton probably is?)
Herschel has changed its admission criteria this year with a new 4 mile area so no one knows what will happen there?
Not sure how St Bernards works but you're probably within last years distance?
Upton, the rank score is unlikely to come down this year, (I could be wrong) you may be ok for the distance?

2018 entry
Langley: all eligible from priority 1 area, rank score to 115 in priority 2 area
Herschel: rank down to 115, distance down to 8.066 miles
St Bernard’s: all eligible RC and other Christian applicants. Other faiths 114 within a distance of 6.49miles.
Upton Court: rank down to score of 116, distance 5.02 miles

For other years the historic data is at the top of the Berkshire section

Thanks for the response.
We are around 4.2 miles from LGs and 5.6 miles from Herschel.
Is this that Herschel will be giving admissions to only in 4 miles or is it 4 miles is P1 and then if seats remains they will give to P2 or by distance?
Thanks

This might help.

As it is new, we have no idea how it will pan out on allocations day.

Are you UB7? if so you're in priority area 2 for LGS

Herschel, If there are any places left after the 4 mile criteria they go onto the next which I believe is PP within 10 mile distance, then staff children followed by rank order for any remaining places

Hi. Is 106 for St.Bernards / practising catholic from catholic primary ,within priority area 2/ too low????
As they take all eligable catholic applicants with 111 I am hoping if I appeal I might get lucky? Or is this just an emotional process of being unable to admit that I have to let go....

As stated on the previous page. You can try an appeal but you must have a very strong case that they are of right standard but just had a bad day. Appeals are very hard to win so I wouldn't get anyone's hopes up
