Breakdown of your child’s score

Post by StMaurMum »

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a breakdown of your child’s score (e.g. verbal reasoning, NVR and Maths) as my son’s score was considerably lower that I was expecting and it would be good to know in which area he had an issue?

hello STMaurMum,
I am in the same position as you, child score is much lower than expected
and I wish I could find the details of the section, as in Mock exams, score were ok, not extremely high but high enough.
I feel I have let down my child.
thanks

Just to let you know, I have asked the school (via Freedom of Information) for a breakdown of the numeracy, VR and NVR sections for all the scores. The school will get back to me by 21st Nov. Fingers crossed that they will supply this info.

Just as a quick bit of advice - a request to see your own child's sub-section scores would be something that would fall under the category of "Data Protection" rather than "Freedom of Information".

The Data Protection legislation entitles you to find out what information an organisation has about you...

I have also asked the University of Durham for my son’s breakdown. They have not replied yet. Maybe I should have contacted Reading School.

Hi StMaurMum,

How you requested the score from University of Durham? Is there any emailID or phone number?

My understanding is that for CEM breakdown, you need to send a form + fee. An e-mail will not get you the scores for your DC.

I believe Reading School say that they do not have information on scores other than the standardised score.

You’ll need to contact CEM.
