Re: realistic advice please
Please don't take any notice of the handboook - the only genuine information is on the LEA admissions websites and has been explained on here by several people.
Re: realistic advice please
Then I’d ignore that as quite frankly it’s wrong. Go by The official admission policy on the school website.katka1311 wrote:Hi, this is from a handbook provided by a well known tution provider.Tinkers wrote:I can’t see that anywhere in the St Bernard’s admissions.

There is another advice in the same handbook:Tinkers wrote:Then I’d ignore that as quite frankly it’s wrong. "If you want Buckinghamshire grammar school they must be placed above other grammar and comprehensive schools in the list. i. e if you are offered another placement elswhere / because you put them higher on the list/ you will not be offered a Buckinghamshire grammar school place even if your child has passed the Buckinghamshire 11+ examination." I guess this makes sense, it does not mean that the schools have to be grouped under each other, in my case it is a genuine preference that one of the Bucks schools is on my 5th preference
Re: realistic advice please
Yes, that information is correct, which is why you MUST put them in your genuine order of preference.

I know which tuition firm that is. Seen that before. They are in both Slough & Langley. You can probably work it out from that.

@ katka1311 Just saw this post. Have you looked at Sacred Heart Hammersmith. During the last few years they had come out as far as Ruislip and Uxbridge. Not sure how the new admission criteria that priortises catholic schools in neighboring buroughs. The HT in her talk this year claimed that Sept 2018 no catholics dds one outside the neighboring buroughs were admitted.
Their admisiion is similar to Swakeleys, a NVR test in November for which you need to apply before 31st October and girls put into 3 bands. They admit around 198 girls every year.
