Hi,

Please can you suggest the best way to commute from Wokingham to Kendrick School. We live near Town Centre. Is taking train or X4/4 bus better? I have heard Bus no 21 from Lower Earley carry only kids in morning and evening which is very safe. But not sure if this is the case with X4/4 ?

Many thanks

All the Wokingham girls DD knows use the train. Sometimes the 4/X4 when needed. DD uses the 4/X4 when visiting friends. Perfectly fine.

Btw DD uses the 17 and has no issues in over 5 years.

I don’t think the 21 is ever ‘children only’, though lots of children use it for kendrick and Reading.

Just to echo what Tinkers said - my Dds have found the 4 / X4 perfectly fine. By the time the bus reaches Reading it is packed with Kendrick and Reading boys pupils so if you choose bus over train then your Dd certainly won't be alone.
