Upton court cut off for 2019 entry

We had already accepted our 4th choice school and today we have received an email from the school asking us to accept the place in writting (returning a acceptance slip). We would be holding on to that upto 10th perhaps and then decide

Yes we received marks from TGS.. we are 4 marks behind the cutoff so not a great chance but not bad either. We will see how it goes.
We will wait for Upton Court/Slough/Surrey mess to be cleared and we expect to receive an offer from Upton Court and then we will decide whether we take Upton Court or stick with Wallington

Given the positions in the lists, you are looking for there to be 30 places freed up until your turn comes. However, not everyone in that waiting list will be after Upton so there may be some bigger movements up the list. However, distance-wise I don't think there is a chance because there score does not matter and your position is quite further down. My personal take is that Upton is a very remote possibility but you can never say never.

This cohort was a high birth rate year and many schools and areas are experiencing much higher demand for places. Higher cut off marks and smaller allocation distances seem to be the norm acrosss the country.

My DD’s score was 122 and she got her 4th pref offer in UptonC from Hounslow area.

Congratulations on securing a place in Upton Court.
Does it say anywhere on letter / email what minimum qualification rank score for Upton is ? Has anyone heard about min qualification rank score for Herschel (outside 4 mile radius catchment area) ?
