Wearing a watch - Reading Grammar

hello members
does anyone know from past experience if Reading Grammar will allow our son to wear a watch. My son's preference is wearing his digital watch, it doesn't have any calculator. But if digital watches are not allowed then I am happy to purchase an analogue watch.
Thank you for your help.

I know kendrick do not allow the wearing of watches at all, so I suspect Reading will be the same.

However it does look like Reading School do not have the same rule, see page 9.

Thank you Tinkers.
I have seen the following which does not specifically prohibits a watch. But I have seen comments on historic forum posts where somebody said they were allowed to use it in Slough and others said they were not allowed to use it in Reading. Is there a way to find out?
The candidate should bring with him 2 HB pencils and a rubber. Please note that the use of
dictionaries, electronic calculators of any description (including calculator watches), stopwatches or
timers are not permitted. Please do not allow your son to bring them to the examination. Mobile
phones, IPads or any other electronic aids should not be brought to the test.
Drinks and snacks are not permitted during the tests unless you have notified the Admissions Office in
writing of a specific medical condition in advance of the test.

The link I posted was from Reading School’s website, so I’d say that’s what the rule is for them. Kendrick’s website say wristwatches are not allowed.
If you have any doubts, then he bets thing to do is email the school directly and check.
Also make sure that whatever happens, your son isn’t unnerved by it. If he knows he may not be able to wear a watch, and he is told to remove it, he shouldn’t be affected. Maybe get him used to relying on a clock in the room as well.
That way whatever happens he will take it in his stride.

Most digital watches have a stopwatch function on them so that would preclude them being allowed in the test room.

This is what I had received from the school by email when I asked the similar question for 2019 entrance test.
I can also confirm that analogue watches (no smart watches or digital watches are allows) are allowed.

Thank you very much for your very useful responses.
do you know what the actual set up in the exam room is like for Reading Grammar. Do they just have wall clocks or there will be a timer running on a projector etc. Anyone who's child sat the exam at Reading may be able to help here.
Thanks again
