Hi All,

My son got 125 for Slough and 117.60 for Reading. We live 1.80 miles from Upton Court and Priorty 1 for Langley grammar.

I don't think we will get Reading due to our post code SL3 and our best option is Upton or Langley. Which school do you recommend for CAF .. I would prefer Upton ..

Any suggestion or advise will be welcome .. Cheers

SL3 doesn’t appear to be in catchment, and Reading haven’t taken boys from ooc for as long as I remember.

If you prefer Upton Court, then put that first on your CAF. You can put down Langley as well.

Thank you ... Shall I be absolutely certain for Upton or do you still reckon 10 or 20% we may not get Upton ..

I honestly don’t know how much the cutoff may change. It was a big change from previous years as you see from here

If Upton Court is your first choice, put it first. If Langley is your second choice put that second.

CAF golden rules.
Put schools down in your genuine order of preference and make sure there’s a school on there you a pretty sure you’d get and be happy with (often your catchment school).

If the cutoff is above 125 for Upton (which I doubt, but you never know!) there is a good chance that you will get in on the distance criteria from SL3
