I want to get any feedback about Herschel Grammar School. I live in Lower Earley and Kendrick is our first option. But because we live in priority 2 area, my DD will be in borderline and might not get through so I am exploring Herschel as the second option because it has its own school bus. Does anyone has any direct or indirect experience from Herschel and would they recommend it to others?

P2 only makes any difference to the extra places for kendrick. The first 96 places are exactly the same as previous years, so if you look at the historic data you can judge whether you are borderline or not for a place. I suspect some P2 girls will get some of the places, but that’s a guess.
Tbh, if it were me (I live in Earley myself), I’d opt for Bulmershe or ME (if you live close enough) rather than have my child travel to Slough everyday and miss out on the extra after school stuff etc.
