Reading Boys results are out - totally new format altogether from what it looks like ...

Candidates with a standardised score of 95.0 or above in both English and Maths and who have achieved the minimum standard required for Creative
Writing may be offered a place at Reading School.

Does anyone know how to interpret the scores? The cut off has been reduced to 95 now, but they have published two different scores for Maths and English.

The post above says you need a minimum of 95 in both. Does that help?

Would the historic allocations have same relevance as it did in recent years, considering Reading School is no longer using CEM tests?

How will the ranking be determined? I presume it will be sum of both standardised scores, so max possible standardised score of 282.0 (141.0 x2) like QE Boys.

I don’t think they are of any help at all.

For info the FAQ on the Reading School website are here.
