2021 Offer data on CAF#s - Slough quad
Another observation on 2021 intake among Slough quad (HGS, LGS, StB, UC):
Collectively 53% offers were CAF#1
within this: 69% LGS offers were CAF#1, 58% UC offers were CAF#1. Points to a reasonably high degree of certainty with their CAF rankings. There was more confidence of offers from LGS than from UC. HGS at 37% from CAF#1 seems to be the prime ambition for fewer parents.
Collectively 22% offers were CAF#2
within this: 29% HGS offers were CAF#2, and could be the most popular CAF#2 school, and increased confidence of offers if CAF#1 failed.
33 offers from Slough quad were CAF#5 and #6, (not all LA's have 6 option CAF). I wonder what their CAF#1-4 might have looked like.
This by itself does not give guidance on what 2022 might look like, but gives some idea of where people go with their CAF's.

One thing to note though, your own chances of being "considered eligible" by a certain school does not depend on your CAF ranking, but which one you get "offered" certainly depends on your and every one else's CAF ranking.
