It's less than an interesting day at work, and I don't think I can wait another 5 days to find out....

Has anyone heard any rumours about how many applications they had this year ?
Does anyone know if they are only considering people who put them first, as said at the Open evening, or whether they're adopting true Equal Preference this year ?
Anyone heard anything recent about the proposed merger with St Joseph's - since the feasibility study of late last year ?

AS an appeal against Herschel was upheld by the Ombudsman for not adopting true 'equal preference' I would have thought that the consortium will have to do this for the 2009 allocations.
I haven't seen anything else on the merger.
