Panic!!!...DC's losing interest or worn out??

Hi all, as time ticks alongI am finding DS is losing interest. Having read others posts about DCs being worn out i am panicking!!
We haven't done anything last week or so and intend to leave it one more week to allow him to settle in to school, and then just let him sit a few papers under exam conditions to improve speed and technique.
The problem is with two other DCs one entering year 5 (only one year to go) and a little one starting school and going back to fulltime uni myself I don't know who is going to burn out me or DS
I'm too scared to set him any work just so he doesn't get fed up!!!
The BV is less than 6 weeks away, and with open evenings for DS and DD for next year and applications to complete its gonna be a long few months!!
Is anyone else feeling the same??
