If it's an interview for a Scholarship or AP they will explicitly state that when they speak to you - if they don't you should ask. In that situation you would be guaranteed a full-fee paying place.

However please bear in mind that they do schedule waiting list interviews at the same time a scholarship interviews despite what is rumoured, my DS had an early scholarship interview some years ago and there were some waiting list pupils from his school being interviewed at the same time. Best to check - if it is a Scholarship/AP you can then relax.

I do hope it's for a Scholarship/AP in both your cases

BTW Interviews are very friendly - there is no pass or fail

My neighbor's son got 100% scholarship. Both Ap and acad. scholarships. He is in year 10 now.

My husband has just received a phone call from KES - they have advised that they want my DS to come in for an interview.

She just said it is to discuss finances and they want to just have a chat with him.

Fingers crossed it is for the AP we applied for.

We have not got any calls but looking at some of the posts here on phone calls for the Scholarships/AP's, I am wondering we already missed the bus or is there still worth keeping some hope I do not want to panic nor call the school which is not proper I feel but looking at their website, I find this as a little hope

The 11+ and 13+ interviews will take place between Monday 23 January and Friday 10 February 2012. Not all boys to whom we offer a place are interviewed, but if your son is chosen for interview you will be contacted by phone over the next few weeks. The results will be sent out on (or as near as possible to) Friday 17 February and you should receive them on Saturday 18 February.

I think this is self explanatory so what I really read from this is we definetly missed the chance for both kind of scholarships

There are many boys who will have secured an automatic place but just missed out on an interview for scholarship or AP. just hang tight

Phone calls, please read the previous notes in this thread. Make sure phone is close to you, the one whose number you gave to the school.
