I am now imagining Mrs Phillips at the local Post Office, "I'll have 611 stamps please! Yes, the cheapest. Do u do second, second class at all?" :)

No letter on our doormat either :( But I was a bit prepared as a nice poster had told here that the letter came on a Monday a few years ago. So we're not too disappointed... The wait just go on, as well as the prayers :)

I was going out for a big family dinner tonight so am glad that I will not have to go bearing bad news. Hopefully I can enjoy myself now.

Like FTR says, no news is good news - but will require another sleepless night with intermittent dreams of opening a thick envelope followed by another dream of opening a thin envelope.

2 years ago ds1's letter arrived on Saturday.
However if there is a real need to save money, email would be free (and I would prefer email to the vagaries of Royal Mail any day)
