The Sandwell Council twitter account person told me today that if you applied online you'll be informed online at midnight. Am now considering whether to stay up or just wait till the morning. Might be a good incentive to get out of bed early for once!

It was an answer to the first question

ds1 is actually sitting next to me too, so can someone tell him to go to sleep?

(ds2, whose future school lies in the balance, is snoring upstairs)

Typical! To um's DS1, we are all very proud of you for how well you did only two years ago and are sure your mum appreciates all the support you are giving her right now.........but......GO TO SLEEP - We all know that you are really only up hoping for midnight celebratory snacks

Oh, and no teasing if he gets a lower pass mark than you - we know how competitive you boys can be....And no sulking if he gets a higher pass mark either

Come on guys, this is ridiculous. Think of how much we could do with the next 24 minutes: I could clean the bathrooms, find the missing half of DS3's gingerbread man costume, I could fold the clothes that I have been pretending I have forgotten about for the last 2 days  ..... the possibilities are endless!

On the other hand, I feel like I can't move or the everything will happen while I am gone.
