Direct train from the Shirley and Whitlocks End line or the X20 bus down Stratford Road. Many boys make the journey from Solihull.

You could walk from the station in 15 mins - I am sure boys do.

You can look up the full X20 timetable on the traveline website. It stops round the corner from the school.

There's also the straford college bus, the 220 I think it is, run by Johnsons coaches, which goes from middle of solihull, down blossomfield / marshall lake roads, onto Stratford Road (A34) then straight out to stratford college. Leaves about half an hour later than X20 so would not have to get up so early!! I don't know about the boys, but there are several girls going to Stratford Grammar School for Girls who get this bus. Its basically for the college students, but this year certainly there was more than enough room on the bus for the grammar school pupils to get places too.

My daughter is in Year 7 at SGGS but she gets the train from Shirley. There are 3 boys for the boys school who get on at Shirley (including a Year 7), one at Wythall, one at The Lakes, and a couple further down the line towards Stratford, so if he is thinking train, he won't be on his own.

thanks legalraal, i have sent a mail to Johnson's coaches asking for more details, couldn't see that 220 route on their website.

seems not an issue. Now a decision between Warwick, solihull and stratford grammar...
