Hope & Faith,
Not sure what you're looking for but this is all I have :

I have got a letter from QM which says:
No. of Questions total : 234
VR i.e. English : 123
Maths/Numerical : 67
NVR : 44
Total number of applicants :844
It also says that 96 places have been offered to those who have been ranked in the top 201.

They do not wish to reveal the minimum pass mark

Hi,

I was considering QM for DD, but opted for WGHS and NGHS because distance of travel. DD got an offer from WGHS but they would not give me her rank or score. However, one can easily calculate the minimum score, if the rank of the last candidate is known ( QM, 201) and total number of candidates (QM= 844), using normal disribution curve, with mean score of 100 and estimating the standard deviation of scores ( normaly in the range of 14 to 15). For QM, assuming:
standard deviation of 15 gives a minimum score of 221.4 (110.7),
standard deviation of 14 gives a minimum score of 219.9 (110)

More accurate calculations need more data with rank orders and standardised scores, to calculate the standard deviation of the candidates' scores and to use it calculated the score for a given rank. The calculated minimum score, in the range of 221.4 to 219.9, is in a good agreement for those listed in this forum by kenR for other schools.

Hope this is useful.

Thank you for your replies.

Anxious mother, I see from another post you provided your DS QM score, may I ask where he was ranked.
