Thanks to all who responed to my question.

Good luck to all still waiting for results.

I am so confused Ds got rank 47 Handsworth, 240 QM Walsall and 220 KE.

Still haven't got a clue where he will end up. !

He really wants Walsall, which ironically is his most difficult chance of getting into, but with the extra places he still may just about get in. (233 last year rank cut off).

After waiting for the post which seemed like days, we finally opened the envelope to find out the results. My DS has got a combined score of 235. The cut off for Camphill Boys in 2012 was 234. Can anyone kindly interpret this score and let me know, if we can put Camphill in the first position on the LEA form and definitely manage to get it.

hawk,

How did you get rankings for Walsall and Bham schools?

I just got "he would normally be offered one of the 112 places..."
and for Bham scores, but no rankings.

dear play

Sorry for confusion KE was a score, Walsall and Handsworth were ranks.

I think ranks for Walsall were only given to those outside the required rank for previous years (ie 233).

Congrats to everyone who feel their dc has made the cut. :D
To borderliners - put the school your dc wants first as everybody is advising. :|
To those who feel their dc hasn't made the cut my heart felt commiserations. :(
For those who haven't received their results yet - good luck.
My dd managed a score beyond our expectations- we're absolutely delighted.
I just like to say a BIG thank you to all the regulars on the B'ham & Warks forums. :D

DS got in excess of 250. We have just filled the online application form, putting CHB as his first choice. Many thanks for all the help from here. Best wishes

This was us today :( :( DS came in just below the average. Still have 2 indie exams to get through but if we don't get the result we want, we still have some really good local schools.

Congratulations to all DC who passed :D Very happy for you all.

136 Days until THAT date!

Thank you

Lurkerfor11- hope all goes well for your dc. As they say, when one door closes, another opens... :)

Congratulations to all those dps who have received the result they wanted.

I was very surprised teaching a y6 class today that only 2 pupils had entered for the 11+. :o One lad said he woke up late- which seemed a shame as he was a whizz in his maths. In dd2's class, with the exception of 3- all of them sat the exam. :!:

Speaking of dd2- it was cries of joy, Umsusu- she made it! :D Very, very grateful.
