choose carefully and don't expect the kid to have to travel too far!dr.watson wrote:This was the backup plan, hermanmunster. Gloucestershire and Birmingham consortium doesn't have any catchment criteria.hermanmunster wrote:goodness dr.watson - I thought you were in bristol and applying to Pate's?
Re: KEGS Results : Good News!
We got ours MSD.
It is laid out as they said it would be : a score for verbal and another for non-verbal / maths. There is then a list of the 2 previous years' entrance marks for each school with a caution that this was not the offer of a place.

Re: KEGS Results : Good News!
It was a good score and if he had been my eldest I would have been over the moon : but he misses out on CHB by several points and the other two KE schools would be logistically very difficult with DS1 on the other side of the city already.
So I probably sound ungrateful (which I am not) but in reality taking up a place is now going to be very difficult for us Either way, we will be celebrating as he has done very well.

Re: KEGS Results : Good News!
hi, just got results. ds scored 214,do you think that he would gain a place with a borderline score like that?
Re: KEGS Results : Good News!
Many congratulation to both UmSusu and Dr. watson. You and your children have all done great job! Thank you for sharing them with us. I am still waiting for the score and am so anxious.
Re: KEGS Results : Good News!
The Post just came and we got some fantastic news which helps us to decide which scool to put at the top of our preference list.
The scores were shown for Verbal reasoning and for Non Verbal / Maths.
Then a standardised score was given.
The range for age standardised scores was 285 - 122
The average age standardized score was 200 and marks below this are unlikely to be offered a place though this is not ruled out.
Really pleased for DS.
