Re: what is the highest possible mark
So the top 1000 has about 220 plus, that right ish? Thanks!
Re: what is the highest possible mark
Approximately 25.5% of children would have scored above 220.newbiemum wrote:So the top 1000 has about 220 plus, that right ish? Thanks!

Re: what is the highest possible mark
Not quite. The 200 is made up of two seperate scores, each with an average of 100. In each of those about 25% (1150) would expect to get a score of 110 or over. But because it isn't necessarily the same ones scoring 110+ in each test the number getting a combined score of over 220 will be a little bit less than that.newbiemum wrote:So the top 1000 has about 220 plus, that right ish? Re: what is the highest possible mark
Iv been in pondering mood all day so apologies for the odd questions! In the last two years we have the qs info in, but do we know who performed best out of the boys and girls or is it an equal split? Thank you
Re: what is the highest possible mark
On that basis how many would have scored over 245
Re: what is the highest possible mark
For 245 that's fairly straightforward stats
245 is an appox average of 122.5 which is the 93.5 percentile
ie 6.5/100 scored 122.5 or above
So multiply (6.5/100) x number of candidates and you get your answer - I don't know how many sat the exam this year

I'm intrigued. Have you figured it out? I'd try and work it out but maths is not my strong point.Sai1 wrote:thanks for this . 4600 inc boys and girls. I can do the rest of the maths
